Custom steering wheels for the Mercedes-Benz CLS C219

The first CLS, built from 2004 to 2010, started the idea of the four-door coupe, with models from the CLS 320 CDI to the CLS 55 and CLS 63 AMG. Its low, sporty cabin suits a custom wheel better than most.

Which wheel does your CLS have?

Pre-facelift cars use the same wheel as the facelift W211 E-Class, the CLK (W209) and the SL (R230), recognisable by the elegant line that runs across it. You can build and preview it in the builder above.

Facelift cars, from 2008, have their own wheel, which the builder cannot preview yet. We still build it: contact us with what you have in mind and we will put the design together with you.

Wood and finishes

The builder offers burl walnut, bird's-eye maple and designo umber maple, as well as carbon fibre, forged carbon and piano black. If your CLS has a different wood, choose the closest one and tell us which in the notes. We can also match the leather to any interior colour.

Paddle shifters

You can add paddle shifters in the builder. They are the standard plastic paddles, not the chrome ones fitted only to AMG models, but if you have chrome AMG paddles you can fit them to the finished wheel afterwards.

Build ideas for the CLS

CLS 63 look: the thicker sport grip with a flat bottom, Alcantara sides and paddle shifters.

Quiet luxury: smooth nappa in your interior colour with a burl walnut or bird's-eye maple top and bottom.

Piano black: piano black top and bottom with perforated leather sides, for a clean, modern look.

Before you order

Every wheel starts from a used original Mercedes-Benz core, so it bolts straight onto your CLS. We rebuild everything you see and touch. Parts inside the wheel can show some corrosion from age, which is out of our hands, but when we source a wheel for you we pick the best core we can find.

The airbag on this wheel comes off easily. Remove it before sending your wheel and keep it at home; we never ship airbag units. When the wheel comes back, have the airbag refitted by a qualified mechanic.

CLS steering wheel questions

My CLS is a facelift. Can I still order?
Yes. The facelift wheel is not in the preview yet, but we build it. Contact us and we will work out the design with you.

How long does it take?
Most builds take one to two weeks in our workshop. We email you photos of the finished wheel to approve, then it ships to you anywhere in the world.

The same wheel is in our W211 E-Class builder. Read about AMG carbon steering wheel fitment, or see every Mercedes we build wheels for.
