Custom steering wheels for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class W212
The W212 E-Class was built from 2009 to 2016 as a saloon and the S212 estate, from the E200 to the E63 AMG. Many are still daily drivers, and a heavily used wheel is often the first thing in the cabin that looks tired.
Which wheel does the builder show?
The builder shows the three-spoke AMG Line wheel, also used in the W204 C-Class, and every option can be previewed on it. Many W212s have a four-spoke wheel instead. If yours does, build your design on the AMG Line wheel and tell us in the notes which wheel you have, or contact us first and we will talk it through.
What you can change
Choose the OEM grip or our Custom grip, with a flat bottom or a square shape. The top and bottom can be leather, carbon fibre, forged carbon or piano black, with smooth, perforated or Alcantara sides. You can also wrap the wheel's trim, add paddle shifters and add a 12 o'clock stripe. Wood is available on request: it is not shown in the preview because few owners choose it, so mention it in the notes.
Build ideas for the W212
E63 look: the Custom grip with a flat bottom, carbon top and bottom and Alcantara sides.
Executive: the OEM grip in perforated leather with a piano black top and bottom, which suits the calmer E-Class cabin.
All Alcantara: Alcantara sides with an Alcantara trim wrap, soft to hold and easy on the eye.
Before you order
Every wheel starts from a used original Mercedes-Benz core, so it bolts straight onto your W212. We rebuild everything you see and touch. Parts inside the wheel can show some corrosion from age, which is out of our hands, but when we source a wheel for you we pick the best core we can find.
If your car has a driver airbag, remove the unit before sending your wheel and keep it at home; we never ship airbag units. When the wheel comes back, have the airbag refitted by a qualified mechanic.
W212 steering wheel questions
My W212 has the four-spoke wheel. Can you still build it?
Usually, yes. Build your design on the AMG Line wheel and add a note, or contact us first.
Does the estate use the same wheels?
Yes. The S212 estate uses the same wheels as the saloon.
How long does it take?
Most builds take one to two weeks in our workshop. We email you photos of the finished wheel to approve, then it ships to you anywhere in the world.
