Custom steering wheels for the BMW 3 Series
The F30 generation is the biggest family on this page: saloon, Touring and Gran Turismo from 2012 to 2019, plus the F80 M3. The M Sport wheel and the M3's M wheel share the same rim, so every shape and finish on this page works on all of them.
This page covers the F30 saloon, the F31 Touring, the F34 Gran Turismo and the F80 M3, built 2012 to 2019.
Which wheel does the builder show?
Most F30, F31 and F34 cars with the M Sport package have the three-spoke M Sport wheel; the M3 has the M wheel with its own trim. The rim is shared, so a 320d can wear the M3 look and an M3 can go back to the M Sport style. The builder shows both, and every option can be previewed on either.
Many F30s have done big mileages, and the leather on the grips is often worn through. We rebuild the whole rim, so the wheel feels new from top to bottom, not just where it shows.
What you can change on your 3 Series wheel
- Shape: the OEM shape, a sport grip, a clean or an aggressive flat bottom, or a clean or an aggressive square shape.
- Top and bottom: leather, carbon fibre, forged carbon, piano black or wood: Burled Walnut, Ash Grain Wood, Dark Burl Walnut Wood.
- Sides: smooth nappa, perforated leather or Alcantara.
- Trim: the centre trim in Alcantara, carbon, forged carbon or piano black.
- Airbag cover: wrapped in leather or Alcantara.
- 12 o'clock stripe: M tricolour, yellow, white, red, orange or black.
- Functions: the wheel's electronics and paddle shifters, heating and lane assist vibration.
Build ideas for the 3 Series
Executive: the sport grip with Burled Walnut top and bottom and perforated leather sides, the factory look done properly.
M3 attitude: the M wheel with a clean square shape, carbon fibre, Alcantara sides and the M tricolour stripe.
Clean refresh: the OEM shape in perforated leather with a new leather airbag cover, for a worn wheel that should simply feel new again.
Before you order
Every build starts from a refurbished genuine BMW wheel, a brand new aftermarket wheel or your own, depending on what you pick. Because the switches on the wheel depend on how the car was specified, we go through your layout with you after ordering.
Sending your own wheel? Keep the airbag unit at home; we do not accept or return airbags. Have it refitted by a qualified mechanic afterwards.

My F31 Touring has the standard wheel, not the M Sport one. Can I still order?
Yes. Choose a core from us and we build it on an M Sport or M wheel, which fits your car.
How long does it take?
Most builds take one to two weeks in our workshop. We email you photos of the finished wheel to approve, then it ships to you anywhere in the world.
