About the Porsche CR-220 (BE6624)
The CR-220 is a Becker cassette radio found in the 986 Boxster and the 996 911. This page is for the BE6624 version. It uses a four digit code.
Same name, different versions
Porsche also sold the CR-220 as BE4362. Each version has its own codes, so pick the BE number printed on your label.
Where to find the serial number
The serial is on the label on the radio housing, next to Serial-No., on the same label as the model number. We only need its last four digits. If a digit is hard to read, photograph the label and zoom in: a misread digit gives a code that will not work.

Enter the last four digits of the serial in the form above. The check is free and tells you straight away whether your code is on record. If it is, you pay once and the code is emailed to you automatically, usually within minutes of payment, at any hour. If it is not, you pay nothing.
Entering the code
When the CR-220 has lost power and you switch it on, the display shows CODE followed by four stars. Key in the four digits of the code: each correct digit makes one star go out. After the fourth correct digit the radio switches on by itself, so there is no separate confirm step.
If the code is not accepted
Stop and contact us rather than trying other codes. After repeated wrong entries a Becker radio shows WAIT and refuses new attempts for a while. The lockout only counts down while the radio is switched on, so leave it on until the message clears. If the code we sent does not work, we refund you.

No. Becker codes are not worked out from the serial number by a formula. They were assigned and recorded, so getting your code means looking it up against your serial number, which is what the check above does.

Yes. Radio code, unlock code, security code and anti-theft code all mean the same thing here: the four digit code tied to your radio's serial number.
